Awka, June 22, 2020 (MOI) Federal Road Safety Corps, Anambra State Command and Defence Intelligence Agency Cell, Anambra State have resolved to train their officers on intelligence studies and other safety-related matters that will enhance safety of road users.
This resolution has been reached between the state Sector Commander, FRSC Mr Andrew Kumapayi and the Officer-in-Charge, Defence Intelligence Agency Cell, Anambra State, Mr NL Omeje.Mr Kumakpayi was receiving Mr Omeje in his office at the FRSC Zonal Headquarters, Awka.
Mr Omeje said purpose of the visit was to inform the Sector Commander of the existence of Defence Intelligence Agency Cell in Anambra and to familiarise himself with FRSC formation in the state.According to him this is with a view to identifying areas of workable synergy between both Agencies.
Mr Omeje commended the sector commander for tremendous contributions toward effective road management, especially during festive periods.
Mr Kumapayi, while responding, assured Mr Omeje of FRSC’s readiness to partner the Defence Intelligence Agency Cell in all areas of mutual interest, especially in areas of providing safety for life and property of people of the state.Both Commanding Officers agreed to share intelligence and promote inter-agency training for staff members of both agencies to enhance service delivery in the state.Mr Kumapayi presented a copy of the revised edition of the Nigeria Highway Code to Mr Omeje.
