We need to revive Diaspora relationships — says Diaspora Commissioner

Awka, June 23, 2020 (MOI) Commissioner for Diaspora Affairs, Culture and Tourism, Dr Christian Madubuko says The Diaspora relationship will be revived to promote the image of the Ministry.

Dr Madubuko, just newly assigned from the Transport Ministry, said this in a meeting with staff members of the Ministry in his office at the Jerome Udoji Secretariat, Awka.

According to the commissioner, Anambra is the first state to create a Ministry of Diaspora Affairs, which also has an office in Abuja; it is of great importance to revive Diaspora relationship.

“Series of activities will be created to revive the department and we will have meetings from time to time to bring up ideas on how to promote the department.

“This Ministry requires talents, creativity and hardwork. Everyone, whether in Culture, Tourism, Hospitality or Arts has a great role to play,’’ he said.

Dr Madubuko enjoined the workers to be hardworking and committed to their duties in other to make their departments exceptional.

Acting Director, Diaspora Affairs, Mrs Nneka Nwankwo thanked the Commissioner for the reception, promising that the staff members would be hardworking, remain obedient and disciplined in their jobs to promote the Ministry. (MOl)
