Anambra youths have been advised to shun cultism, thuggery and other social vices.
President Kamac Foundation, Mr Chike Ekwughe gave the advice in an interview with Information Officers in Awka.
Mr Ekwughe said that such acts were capable of truncating their future.
He condemned the attitude of some misguided youths, who as a result of cultism were involved in the killing of people.
The Kamac president also appealed to those perpetrating these acts, to try to seek for decent jobs and vocations such as trading, electrical, plumbing, mechanic and welding.
According to him, if they acquire skills and become artisans, it will help them to be self reliant and contribute positively to the development of the society.
“I urge you the youths to dream big as well as work hard; this will make you people more responsible and useful in the society.
“You should embrace genuine businesses as God blesses those who engage in decent jobs,’’ Mr Ekwughe said.
He advised youths to shun any involvement in being hired as assassins, political thugs and other violence in a bid to avoid ruining their future.
Mr Ekwughe called on traditional rulers and community leaders to embark on door-to-door campaigns against violence in their communities to reduce the menace of social vices in the state.
